THE
FIRST SOLARTOPIAN CLOCK: This primal version of the wildly
popular and increasingly sophisticated Solartopian Clock
was first unveiled around Earth Day, 2007. A prestigious
committee of global scientists, financiers, politicians
and activists continues to monitor and evaluate the state
of green power each year, and issues updates accordingly
(copies of this first, primitive clock are now exceedingly
rare).
Progress towards Solartopia
came slowly through the first decade, but accelerated rapidly
between 2017 and 2022, then hit warp
speed as the renewable industry achieved saturation take-off.
The personnel on the Calendar Committee has turned over often
since 2007. But thousands of comments and conceptualizations
still pour in to www.solartopia.org.
